If you want to learn to scuba dive, take a PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) Open Water Diver course, the most widely recognized and respected diving certification in the world. Within a few days, you can be enjoying the underwater world. Whether you are an amatear or a professional, we are here to suit you! Please read through the following literature which gives you a small rundown on the available courses to choose from! (full course details can be found from the dropdown bar at the top of the page!) Discover Scuba Diving A two to three hour introduction to the underwater world where you will learn basic skills and techniques that can be subsequently creditted towards a certified diver course (SCUBA Diver or Open Water Diver) PADI Scuba DiverYour first certified diver level. Allows you to dive with any PADI dive professional and teaches you more about diving than your DSD programme. It is ideal for those who fancy developing their underwater skills but do not have the time to commit to a full Open Water course. Certifies you to dive to a max 12 metres. Open Water Scuba DiverA full certification course that includes five theory sessions, five confined training sessions and four open water dives. Up to age 15 years this allows you to dive to 12 metres but from 15 upwards your are certified to 18 metres. It also qualifies you to hire equipment from a dive centre and to dive with another qualified diver. Course duration is three to five days. Adventure Scuba DiverSo now you are a certified diver and want to enhance your skills. The Adventure Diver will complete three theory sessions and then three dives related to those sessions. These will include a deep dive and a navigation dive. The third can be selected from an extensive list. Advanced Open Water Scuba DiverAs the Adventure Diver but you will complete five sessions and five dives. Once the deep dive is completed you are certified to dive to 30 metres. Rescue DiverUp to the next challenge. You have the basic skills now learn how to cope with a dive related incident/accident. Learn search and rescue techniques and how to manage an incident scene. This is the next step towards becoming a dive industry professional. NB Before starting a Rescue Diver course you must have completed an Emergency First Responder course (or similar). This course is not a dive based course and is open to anyone who wants first aid training. Whats Next???At this stage you can make a choice... Master Scuba Diver or Dive Master? Master Scuba DiverThe highest PADI amateur diver rating. Having qualified as a Rescue Diver you will complete five specialties (from a lengthy list to chose from), cementing your expertise as a SCUBA Diver Dive MasterThe entry level to the professional dive industry. Here you will study an in depth theory programme on physics, physiology etc and learn to assist an Instructor in training students. This certification can be done as a course over approximatley two weeks or as an Internship over a longer period actually working as a diver. |
